Arachnids are invertebrates with eight jointed legs and a body divided into two main regions, the cephalothorax and the abdomen. The legs are attached to the cephalothorax. There are no wings or antennae. The vast majority are terrestrial. Most are carnivorous, some are parasitic and some are omnivorous. Some plant galls are caused by mites.
