Sycamore Felt Gall
Aceria pseudoplatani agg, Sycamore Felt Gall. Microscopic mites that infect the underside of Sycamore, Acer pseudoplatanus, leaves, causing felty patches. The upper leaf surface shows small raised mounds. Galls are abnormal growths of the plant caused by the parasites. The Aceria pseudoplatani mites are often accompanied by larger predatory mites.
