Crustaceans are most familiar as the marine barnacles, shrimps, prawns, crabs and lobsters. A number of species inhabit freshwater and land, but only in damp places. Woodlice are a group of land living crustaceans. In freshwater, a group of crustaceans called copepods are very numerous. They are just visible to the eye.
