Trifolium repens
White Clover
Trifolium repens, White Clover. A native and an important agricultural plant. Like other legumes, Clover is able to fix atmospheric nitrogen in the soil via its root nodules, reducing the need for chemical fertilisers. The flower heads are built up from many keel shaped flowers that provide a food source for bees and other pollinating insects.
