Streptopelia decaocto
Collared dove
Streptopelia decaocto, Collared dove, is a relatively recent addition to the British bird population, first arriving in the south during the 1950s, but now widespread and common in the Redmire area. They are usually seen in pairs, throughout the year, particularly around the village gardens.
