Parmelina tiliacea, a foliose (leaf-like) lichen, found on a variety of nutrient-rich surfaces such as tree bark and rocks. Apothecia are rare, reproduction generally being acheived by isidia, small finger like projections on the upper surface of the thallus. An isidium is a complete package of fungal and algal cells.
