Ochrolechia parella, is a crust forming (crustose) lichen found locally on both limestone and sandstone. From a distance it resembles Aspicilia calcarea, with which it often grows. The apothecia of Ochrolechia parella are far more prominant, with a thick whitish rim visible by eye.
