Crisped Neckera
Neckera crispa, Crisped Neckera. A common moss growing in tiered layers on shaded, base rich rocks and mortared walls. In Redmire it is found on the sandstone flanks of the railway bridge, generally following the lines of mortar. The leaves are glossy and distinctly curved inwards and microscopically wrinkled.
