Hare’s foot Inkcap

Coprinopsis lagopus, Hare’s foot Inkcap. A saprophytic fungus with very short-lived toadstools that curl upwards and then collapse into a black ink. This process is called deliquescence. Common, particularly on horse dung and wood chips. Black spore print.
