Bufo bufo, Common Toad. Amphibian. Breed in ponds during the spring. Toadlets leave the pond and inhabit damp places such as grassland, often at come distance from the pod. Probably more adapted to drier conditions than frogs. Feed on invertebrates, particularly molluscs. Migrate back to the pond in late winter.
