Orange-tailed Mining Bee

Andrena haemorrhoa, Orange-tailed Mining Bee is a solitary bee. Adults are on the wing from April to July and visit a wide range of flowers. Nesting is in the ground on warm slopes, either singly or in loose groups. Slightly smaller than a Honeybee.
